“Facilitating Urban Commons” Conference

Schwimmverein Donaukanal was part of a EU-wide exchange together with other local initiatives from Vienna, Torino and Barcelona. In a presentation format, we shared our knowledge and tools that we developed as a bottom-up community initiative in the Viennese and European context. However, the discussion was sparked by sharing our challenges - operating in the grey zone of regulations, in the “urban void” that is Donaukanal is tricky, but at the same time, endlessly creative. 


Thanks to the organiser - gE.CO Living Lab -- a platform for bringing together and supporting local initiatives created in regenerated urban voids in the european-wide context.
