Swim City Exhibition at MAO Slovenia

Swim City Exhibition from the Swiss Architecture Museum (SAM) is one of the major inspirations behind Schwimmverein Donaukanal. We attended the opening of the exhibition in Ljubljana, at MAO Slovenia and had a chance to meet the director of SAM - Andreas Ruby in person. ‘Swim City’ is the first exhibition to draw attention to a particular contemporary phenomenon in urban space: river swimming as a mass movement. Swiss cities have played a pioneering role in the development of this activity in the last few decades, gradually making the river accessible as a natural public space in the built environment. Our future vision of more-swimmable Vienna builds upon the Swiss swim history and know-how. We hope to host the exhibition in Vienna in the near future!
